1Who we are
Eurotrips is a road-trip cost planner for iPhone, created and maintained by steezr s.r.o. (company ID CZ22354883), based in the Czech Republic and the data controller for the app. You can reach us any time at hello@eurotrips.app. This policy covers the Eurotrips mobile app.
2What the app sends to us
To plan a trip, the app sends the start, end and any stops you type to our servers. We turn those into map coordinates, work out the routes, and run the cost engine that estimates fuel, tolls and vignettes. We need this to give you an answer, and we use it for nothing else.
When you open a map and look for places to stay, the app sends the coordinates of the area you're viewing so we can fetch accommodation nearby. We don't attach your name or any identifier to these requests, because the app doesn't have one.
3Location
The app asks for location permission only at the moment you tap to show where you are on the map, never before. Your device position is used on your phone to place you on the map. If you then browse for stays at that spot, the coordinates of that map area are sent to find nearby places, the same as any other part of the map you pan to. You can decline location and use everything else as normal.
4What stays on your device
Your saved trips, your car settings, your language and your light or dark preference are stored on your phone only. They are not uploaded to us and we cannot see them.
5Who else is involved
- Routing and geocoding. We run our own servers, built on OpenStreetMap data, to turn place names into coordinates and to calculate routes. Your trip details are processed there to answer your request.
- Accommodation (Stay22). Places to stay come from Stay22. When you tap through to book, you leave the app for the booking provider, and their own privacy policy then applies.
- Buy and book links. Links to official vignette shops and booking sites open in your browser. Once you've left the app, those sites are governed by their own terms and policies, not ours.
6What we don't do
No accounts. No advertising networks. No analytics or tracking SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and nothing that builds a profile of you or follows you across other apps and sites. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
7Retention
We don't keep a record of your trips or your location tied to you. Our servers keep short-lived technical logs to run the service reliably and to keep it secure, and those are rotated regularly and never used to identify you.
8Children
Eurotrips is a general-audience travel tool and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
9Your rights
Because the app holds no account and we keep nothing tied to you, there is no personal profile to access, correct or delete on our side. Anything the app stored on your phone is removed when you delete the app. If you have a question about your data, write to hello@eurotrips.app and a real person will answer.
10Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will be called out clearly.
